Non-Stick and Release Coatings

Release the Power of Non-Stick Technology

Optimize Your Processes with F.N. Sheppard

Non-stick and release coatings are specialized surface treatments designed to prevent materials from adhering to substrates, thereby facilitating easy separation and improving operational efficiency. These coatings are essential in various industries to enhance product quality, reduce downtime, and extend equipment lifespan.

Key Features and Benefits

These coatings create a barrier that prevents substances such as adhesives, food products, or chemicals from sticking to surfaces.

By minimizing material buildup, they reduce the need for frequent cleaning and maintenance, leading to increased productivity.

They protect equipment from wear and corrosion, thereby extending the service life of machinery and components.

Many non-stick coatings are FDA and USDA compliant, making them suitable for use in food processing and packaging applications.

If you experience problems with glue, labels, or other material sticking to your belt surface, then we can apply a variety of silicone or urethane release coatings to eliminate the problem. You may just want to alter the friction properties, color or hygiene characteristics of a standard belt.

  • Timing & Conveyor Belts, Rollers etc.
  • Glue Release
  • Improve or Reduce Coefficient of Friction
  • FDA Coatings
Non-Stick CoatingMany synchronized conveying processes may include some form of product folding, gluing, laminating, or labeling. We produce several variations of silicone and urethane release coatings that are applied to the belt surface to help eliminate the possibility of belt contamination. Typically, vacuum conveyors are used with perforated timing belts. The vacuum, combined with our coating, can create the desired positive control of the product. The coating process allows us the flexibility of coating many different substrates, including urethane and neoprene timing belts, regardless of the belt width or length.
Coating Characteristics What They Can OfferGlue Release | Low Coefficient of Friction | High Coefficient of Friction | Anti-Static | Various colors available for optic or hygienic reasons | Non-Stick | Some Coatings are FDA Approved
Belt Surfaces: All TypesBelt top side or conveying surface | Belt bottom side of belt which comes in contact with slider bed | Belt fabrics (top or bottom) | Timing Belt teeth
Other MaterialsBelt (profiles, pockets, cleats, lugs) | Elastomer compounds/backings | Rollers | Pressure Pads
